Ziyan (Nadine) Chen is an Undergraduate Research Associate at the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Urban Design and Urban Science. She is an undergraduate student at NYU Shanghai majoring in Social Science with a concentration in Urban Studies. Her research focuses on healthy cities, green space use, and housing equality. Using spatial statistics and deep learning methods, Nadine investigates how built environments shape health-related behaviors and perceptions, with particular attention to how access to sports facilities and public transit influences college students’ self-rated physical health.
