Xiaoyong Yin received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Urban and Rural Planning from Tongji University, and a dual master's degree in Architecture from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Strasbourg (ENSAS) in France. He also worked at the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design. He is expected to receive his Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in 2025. Currently, he is a visiting scholar at NYU Shanghai and NYU Wagner. His research interests include urban regeneration, planning governance, and complex networks, with a focus on cooperative network analysis and the evaluation of urban regeneration outcomes in Beijing, China, and New York City, USA.
