Tong Cheng is a doctoral candidate in urban ecology through the N.E.T. Program, jointly operated by East China Normal University and NYU Shanghai. With a background in geographic information systems (GIS), her current research focuses on simulating future urban forms. She employs GIS and remote sensing (RS) technologies to model urban growth patterns and investigate the relationships between urban morphology and hydrological systems.
