LOUD Visits Hiddengem Group For Research Collaboration On Low-Carbon Cities

On May 21, 2024, a delegation from LOUD visited Hiddengem Group to enhance research collaboration and academic exchange between the two parties, with a focus on advancing cooperation in low-carbon initiatives and foundation projects. The delegation was led by Liu Yanjun, Executive Deputy Director of LOUD, and included LOUD researcher Tian Shuai, Secretary-General of the Beijing Minhe Foundation for International Exchanges Chen Xin, General Manager of Fujian Zuohai Technology Co., Ltd. Chen Long, General Manager of Shanghai Xiangliang Zhucheng Digital Technology Co., Ltd. Ke Maosong, along with other related research personnel. The meeting was attended by Jiang Hao, Honorary Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner of Vanke Group, Liu Jinlong, Vice President of Hiddengem Capital, and Huang Yunying, Senior Manager of Biosphere III.

Hiddengem Group, established in 2017, was founded and invested in by Mr. Wang Shi, the founder and Honorary Chairman of the Board of Vanke Group. Hiddengem Group is a diversified company with core businesses in carbon-neutral communities, sports and health, and green finance. In the field of low-carbon initiatives, Hiddengem Group’s Biosphere III project stands as a significant practice in sustainable development, combining concepts and technologies related to carbon neutrality, green building, and biodiversity, aiming to explore and implement the construction and development of sustainable communities.

During the exchange, Jiang Hao, Honorary Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner of Vanke Group, introduced Hiddengem Group’s activities in the low-carbon sector. The Vanke Foundation and Hiddengem Group have been working together in the low-carbon field for many years, with their comprehensive low-carbon park solutions implemented in various cities including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Zhengzhou. The Biosphere III project, serving as a comprehensive carbon-neutral solution for communities, offers integrated low-carbon solutions for buildings, parks, and communities, from planning to operation. This project is part of Hiddengem Group’s exploration of business models in the low-carbon sector, encompassing microgrid intelligent systems for energy solutions, sports and health concepts, and biomass recycling technology.

Subsequently, Liu Yanjun introduced the overall situation of LOUD, the innovative collaborative research model, and the research content and achievements of LOUD in three main areas: digital and intelligent cities, low-carbon cities, and blue-green cities. Tian Shuai provided details on LOUD’s projects in the low-carbon field, while Chen Xin shared experiences and case studies of the foundation’s green and low-carbon public welfare practices. Chen Long introduced Zuohai Technology’s exploration in the low-carbon economy, and Ke Maosong shared insights on Xiangliang Zhucheng's approach to empowering the low-carbon economy with data elements.

During the discussion, all parties reviewed the current status and future development goals of their respective businesses. They engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as business models for the low-carbon economy, low-carbon financial models, and operational models for future cities, as well as potential areas for future collaboration. Both sides agreed that there are significant opportunities for comprehensive and deep collaboration between LOUD and Hiddengem Group in digital and intelligent cities, low-carbon cities, and blue-green cities, as well as in education and training to jointly promote the development of the low-carbon economy and low-carbon public welfare.

This exchange not only deepened the understanding of low-carbon research for both parties but also helped clarify the direction for future collaboration.
